Ah, how to vape? the age-old question. Three words that are googled almost as much as, what is vaping? and cheapest e-liquids uk (hint: it’s us). But there is actually a way to do vaping properly. Knowing the proper way to inhale vape, how to get that ‘lung hit’ that smokers crave, and finding the best e-liquid from our extensive catalogue of flavours, we’re here to help you make the most of your vaping experience.
How to use a vape
Newbie vapers, welcome to the vaping scene. Experienced vaping veterans, welcome back. You can lead this one.
For absolute beginners, we reckon it’s best to start out simple – with a vape kit. These kits are great at getting you started with vaping and provide the essentials you need to get your device up and running. The main two types of vape devices include:
Pod vape
A pod vape is great for those trying hard to quit smoking; whether you’re using a refillable pod device or a standard one, pod vapes can help emulate smoking a cigarette. The pod system (great name, we know) makes it easier to switch up between flavours, and you go through much less e-liquid in a day. All you have to do is pop your chosen vape liquid in, let it soak up the good stuff for 10 minutes or so, insert the pod into the device, and then Bob’s your uncle! You’re ready to vape.
All in one vapes
Another device that’s easy to use. All you need to do with all in one vapes is add your chosen e-liquid. It really is that simple.
Begin by priming your coil with a few drops of vape juice, place it in the tank, fill it up, then give your coil time to saturate. Make sure to check the performance of your coil regularly so you know when to replace your coil.
Frequently asked questions
Whether you’re new to vaping, or you’ve been part of the exclusive club for a while now, it’s normal to have a few questions. And we’re always here to help.
Here’s the answers to some of our most commonly asked questions.
How do I choose the right e-liquid?
We might be biased but we genuinely think our vape juices are the best in the biz. They’re top quality, top price, and we only work with the highest quality ingredients and flavours. But don’t just take our word for it, find out why we think we’re the bee’s knees.
What’s a primer puff?
A primer puff is the catalyst to kick-start your vaping session. You can do this by holding down the button for a few seconds, then taking a 2 or 3-second slow inhale to encourage the e-liquid to start evaporating.
Do you have to inhale a vape?
A lot of people think e-cigs need to be inhaled like a cigarette – but they’re wrong. In actual fact, a vaper can absorb the same amount of nicotine whether they inhale or not. Although, some ex-smokers do prefer to inhale because they like the familiar sensation. Either way works!
What are the different ways to inhale vape?
Depending on what type of hit you want to achieve, there are two main players in the game; MTL (mouth to lung) or DL (direct lung).
Mouth-to-lung
The traditional way most people inhale. You slowly draw the vapour into your mouth, hold it with your mouth closed for a few seconds, then open your mouth and breathe the vape into your lungs. Only exhale once the vapour is in your lungs. The MTL technique is great for smaller vapes that use high nicotine with higher resistance coils. Do this if you’re looking to replicate the same feeling and similar throat hit from smoking cigarettes.
Direct Lung
The DL technique skips the mouth part from the MTL technique. All you need to do is quickly draw the vape directly to your lungs and exhale almost immediately. This gives you a smoother hit and works best with a larger vape with a lower nicotine level e-liquid.
According to seasoned vapers, it’s best to start with 3-7 draws on your vaporiser before holding the vapour in your mouth for several seconds. After this, you can either exhale directly or inhale the vapour into your lungs. Thanks, guys.
Are short drags or long drags better?
A classic vaping question. While short drags work better on a normal cigarette, because e-cigs need to evaporate the liquid, just doing a short drag won’t get enough liquid across the heating element inside. Unsurprisingly, this will leave you unsatisfied. Instead, taking longer and slower drags will be much more enjoyable – not to mention it cuts down the chance of you accidentally ingesting excess vape juice!
How long should I wait between vape sessions?
Waiting at least a couple of minutes between vape sessions will allow the heating element of your e-cig to cool down and means it will ultimately go for longer. These few minutes also help prevent a sore throat, irritation, or bad burnout – affectionately known as ‘vaper’s tongue.’
Is there a right way to vape?
Despite all this, there isn’t actually a ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to vape – just avoid those short drags we spoke about. Both beginners and intermediates end up experimenting with new liquids, different wattages or voltages, different lengths of time holding vapour, or even whether to exhale through the mouth or nose.
